  • Recipient of the first Medal for Patriotism presented by the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution. This is a National award.
  • Voted Best Local Government Official by readers of the Star-Telegram, 2015 and 2017.
  • Recipient of the President’s Award from the Grapevine Chamber of Commerce
  • Recipient of Community Service Award from Capt. Molly Corbin Chapter, National Society Daughters of the America Revolution (DAR)

Accomplishments:

  • On behalf of the City, testified before the President’s National Airline Commission, Washington DC
  • On behalf of the City, presented to the Texas State Senate Committee leading to the unanimous designation of Grapevine as the Christmas Capital of Texas by the Texas State Senate
  • Presented to the Texas Historical Commission leading to Nash Farm’s designation as a Recorded Texas Landmark
  • Created the program to install a fire sprinkler system in all historic downtown Grapevine buildings, including the funding mechanism for building owners affordability
  • Authored and published two books on her family history one of which received an award of merit from the Maryland Historical Society
  • Named to “Who’s Who in America”
